In addition, if you are able to use WiFi in your unit you can free up the bandwidth by disconnecting from the network when not in use. WiFi is also available in the Ken Jones building.
The computer center is totally staffed by volunteers of the Computer Club. It is not managed by the HTR park.
Help time is offered by volunteers each Monday morning in the Leisure Center. You are encouraged to come for help and/or volunteer to help. Your donations for help and use of the bank of computers and printer help maintain these services. Donations and the $2 class fee are the only source of income to operate the computer club. GPS Systems Class topic 2-10-2010
GPS systems will be the topic for the weekly Wednesday class on February 10, 2010. Jerry Wessell, the presenter, has a wealth of information to give.
Jerry will have a hand out for the session as he makes explanations.
He says, “They can bring their GPS units or the information will work at home. I am thinking of taking a list from the people of their e-mail addresses and I can e-mail them the notes. Then they can click on the links in the notes and it will take them to the sites.”
He further says, “I am working to give them the most sites I can for all products: Garmin, Magellan, and Tom Tom.”
The Computer Club officers appreciates Jerry Wessell!
